Проверка долготы/широты с помощью геокодера

Я следил за этим Geocoder Railscast и экспериментировал с ним, чтобы посмотреть, смогу ли я добавить проверку координаты долготы и широты, возвращаемые Geocoder Gem, если пользователь вводит ошибочный адрес, который не возвращает никаких координат долготы и широты.

Я смог заставить это работать до точки с кодом ниже, но когда я ввожу правильный адрес, он дает пользователю ошибку проверки при первой отправке формы, даже если возвращаются координаты долготы и широты. Второй раз, когда пользователь отправляет форму, она работает.

Я подозреваю, что это происходит, поскольку, когда пользователь отправляет форму, координаты долготы и широты отсутствуют, но есть второй раз, когда гем геокодера возвращает координаты.

Что-то не так с моим кодом или я должен подходить к этому по-другому?

Почему вы не можете :геокодировать местоположение перед проверкой? :адрес_изменен? вернет true даже для новых записей, если какое-либо из этих полей изменилось. Подтвердите его, и если он вернет неверные значения широты/долготы, ваша проверка присутствия :latitude завершится ошибкой.

Просто измените это after_validation на before_validation.
