Context.WithTimeout() и os.exit в gorilla/mux

Это кажется достаточно простым, но я понимаю, что отсрочки не запускаются при вызове os.Exit() (согласно https://gobyexample.com/exit). Я заметил, что есть CancelFunc(), возвращаемый context.WithTimeout(), который затем откладывается. Я предполагаю, что это должно отменить контекст, созданный выше, если main() завершится до крайнего срока, но я не понимаю, как это может произойти с вызовом os.Exit() в конце.
